Global Security Intelligence Advisors work within a global team to proactively identify and assess current or emerging security threats that may impact our Company personnel, operations and facilities. The Global Security Intelligence Advisor collects, analyzes and disseminates timely intelligence information critical to our business’s understanding of the dynamic security environments around the world. We are seeking an international security and intelligence professional with knowledge and experience of the Americas region to join the Global Security Intelligence team. Responsibilities: • Provide support to key business initiatives by developing and disseminating threat-related intelligence analysis • Prepare security threat assessments, security consideration summaries, and strategic intelligence communications • Conduct regular country threat assessments, Internal facility threat assessments, and ad hoc threat assessments and security updates as required • Establish and maintain liaison networks with national, state, and local governments and law enforcement agencies, as well as with business, academia, and other sources, in order to ensure the timely flow of intelligence and threat information that may impact the security of personnel and operations • Establish and maintain liaison with security intelligence counterparts in the energy industry; represent our Company in energy and security industry forums • Develop strategies and plans for implementation of new or updated security intelligence practices, processes, or requirements • Assist in risk mitigation efforts and the implementation of security risk assessments and surveys • Participate in emergency response groups and deployments as appropriate • Provide threat analysis in support of the planning and execution of security programmes for selected company events and executive protection assignments. Proficiencies • Undergraduate degree in an area of study relevant to the position, for example international security • Deep knowledge of security and international affairs issues in the Americas region, particularly Latin America • Substantial analytic and critical thinking skills, with relevant experience working in the intelligence analysis field within an intelligence, diplomatic, military, or law enforcement organization or in an intelligence analysis-related private sector job • Candidates should also have demonstrated work experience and / or knowledge of: o Providing intelligence analysis and briefings, in both oral and written form, to senior decision-makers o A wide range of Open Source intelligence methods and techniques • Strong IT skills, specifically being an experienced and competent user of Microsoft Office • Excellent written skills; ability to draft succinct, impactful intelligence assessments, often under time pressure • Strong oral presentation skills, with experience briefing small and large audiences and senior management • Ability to work independently in a global virtual team structure • A “can-do” attitude and flexibility to respond to time-sensitive requirements or security developments • Willingness and ability to travel, sometimes at short notice
