Descrição: Our client is a Global TOP player and is seeking a top Clastic Sedimentologist to join their world-class unconventional business line team. You will have strong geological and sedimentological background and be proficient in clastic core description from a broad range of depositional environments, facies analysis, petrographic interpretation, sequence stratigraphy, log correlation and diagenetic modelling. Specific experience in shallow marine (linear and deltaic) coastlines, glaciated margins, sediment gravity flow processes, borehole image interpretation and Lower Palaeozoic North African/Arabian stratigraphy is highly advantageous.

A proven record of working within multi-disciplinary project teams, providing sedimentological advice. Data Integration experience using 2D/3D Seismic, Gravity, Magnetic, wireline logs, core, specialist geological techniques - SEM, XRD, chemo stratigraphy, isotopes, and biostratigraphy to provide analysis of well data in terms of sedimentary architecture, facies, and depositional environments. As a Development Geologist working for one of our multidisciplinary teams in the Unconventional Program, you will be able to integrate regional to field-scale geological evaluations, create fit-for-purpose geological models for hydrocarbon in–place assessment, and participate in integrated reservoir management.


As the successful candidate, you will hold a Bachelor's degree in Geology and a higher degree is preferred.
You will have ten years' of oil and gas industry.
You will have Strong geological software skills (Petrel, Openwork’s / DSS) preferred.
Peer-reviewed, published scientific articles in sedimentology, reservoir geology, and / or unconventional plays is a plus.
You will have experience in building, maintaining and evaluating large, complex geological models utilizing geological modeling software.
You must have knowledge in the integration of sedimentology, depositional environments, petrophysics and geomechanics.
It will be beneficial if you have experience with geo-steering and working in Real Time Operating Centers.
You will also have experience working with reservoir engineers and reserve auditors to determine reserve estimations and working with the field production and drilling departments on well performance and optimization.
You must have the ability to work on a multidisciplinary team is a key asset.
You will have excellent interpersonal and presentation skills and you will have the ability to handle operational administrative tasks in an organized and error free manner.
